The WORST Gym Session

The WORST Gym Session

OH man!  “It was such a hard day at work” “I really don’t feel like training today”. .

Sound like you? Or possibly someone you know?

Im not going to use this write up as a way to shit on any other trainers program style or anyone elses way of conducting themselves at the gym, but rather on how you think about a shit session or a “hard day at work” so you “don’t feel like training today”.

Think to yourself, do you have a goal you want to accomplish in the gym? Have you set yourself a target of training 4 days/week etc?

I know at times getting to the gym can feel like the worst thing in the world and I have definitely experienced the feeling of just wanting to go home and sit on the lounge taking the easy way out for the day.

As a result of this when I have been satisfied by sitting on my lazy ass eating whatever I could find in the cupboard I think back and just go “why the hell didn’t I just go”.

Having experienced going through the toughest times of prep and just on days I simply don’t want to go to the gym yet still picking myself up and just getting it done I have come to the conclusion of one thing.

Through the build up of momentum a.k.a just simply going to the gym when you said you would and doing SOMETHING you have keep the ball rolling. This builds your confidence, self belief and knowledge that you know you can push through times that you believe are tough.

Thats why I believe that your WORST day in the gym is REALLY your BEST day because those are the days that build your character and your value of self.

Make sure even if you had designated yourself a cardio session and really don't feel like doing it ( I mean who would) maybe just go in a do some light weights.

You are not a lazy fuck who just went home because “life is hard” or “the worlds against me” your that individual that despite all that says “fuck it” and uses those sorrows as a driver, as motivation and becomes a better person then they were yesterday!
